So, we're still one cat short and have about two car loads to move from our old place. That's the minus column. The plus column has, however, become more robust...

There are dangers to be found in compliments.

Tired, achey, coughy, runny nose. Not ill enough to stay at home, not well enough to work properly either. Also, apparently, the wrong kind of ill to be zapped with antibiotics. Despite this, I continue to be a lot more productive in a week than in a month last year.

I picked up a 73-year-old book yesterday entitled "Nippon - A Charted Survey of Japan - 1936" ("charted" apparently meaning that there are charts in the book; the 1936 English translation from the source Japanese-language book isn't perfect), which I'm hoping/expecting to be historically interesting to go through.  The thing about history books.....

It's a quiet day on the intarwebs. So I thought I'd add some cruft.

I actually started reading a little more in 2008. Actually I started reading again in the last 6 months. Not as much as some people here by a factor of 20 or so. Some people seem to be able to read a book a day. I suspect the fact that I still read most books out loud to WPKAW slows me down. Still, inside is my list.
