Kind of.

I feel really bad for not making it to Atreides' wedding.  Unfortunately, I had a Bach Vespers to sing.  Actually, Shutz, Bach and Zachow.  It went well and then we had an end-of-the-season party at the parsonage.

So, one choir is done for the summer, just in time for Cantare to really kick in after the two week lull post the first rehearsal.  Three rehearsals this week and then three the following week before the concerts.  It sounds pretty good from where I am, although every rehearsal is pretty draining.  Not too much singing below forte in this oratorio.

My first Sunday at Trinity went smoothly; they had vestments that fit me, which was my main worry.  The services are pretty much the same, although the choir seems a little more "on display" than at the Cathedral - no rood screen, for starters.

Nothing really interesting in this diary - mainly I'm just explaining why I didn't make it to Austin.  If you're reading this when you get back, your Imperial Highness, I hope you had/are having/will have a great time.

for processions, extra appearances, and concerts. We're doing the Byrd mass for 4 voices and Palestrina's mass on "Veni Sponsa Christi" in a couple weeks. Plus, at church, singing for Ascension (a mass by Viadana I'd never heard of before, but it's short and sweet).
